A spectacular journey through the history of mountain photography

For 150 years, technical images have been taken of an object that fascinates people so much - the mountain. At LUMEN at the summit of Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, the historical photographs are staged in an impressive way. The converted former mountain station at 2,256 metres not only houses a ‘Wall of Fame’ of the first mountain photographers, a hall of mirrors and a life-size aperture with a view of the valley, but also a special restaurant - the AlpiNN by star chef Norbert Niederkofler.

How do I get there by public transport

With the Guest Pass, you can travel free of charge on the 441 bus line from Val Casies/Gsiesertal valley or on the 438 city bus from Tesido/Taisten and Monguelfo/Welsberg to Monguelfo/Welsberg railway station. From there, take the train on the San Candido/Innichen-Fortezza/Franzensfeste line to Perca/Percha station. From the railway station in Perca/Percha, you can take the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz mountain railway to the museum. The ticket for the mountain railway is not included in the Guest Pass.
