Come in

As a guest of damsels and knights

Majestic, fortified and imposing: There are over 800 castles and historical buildings in South Tyrol, with the area around the provincial capital of Bolzano/Bozen boasting the highest density. Some important examples can be found in the east of the country, all of which are easily accessible from our region. We are particularly proud of our Welsperg Castle, which towers high above Monguelfo/Welsberg at the entrance to the Val Casies/Gsiesertal valley and can be visited during the summer months. But also of the mighty Tures/Taufers Castle, Brunico/Bruneck Castle, which today houses the Messner Mountain Museum RI-PA, and Heinfels Castle in East Tyrol, which has recently been restored and opened to the public. Immerse yourself in medieval life.
