ECK Museum of Art
The museum in the centre of Brunico/Bruneck
Local art from the 19th and 20th centuries and contemporary artists' positions
The exhibition rooms of the ECK Museum of Art have their origins in the former post stables of the town of Brunico/Bruneck. They alternate between contemporary art by national and international artists and works from the museum's own collection - mainly 19th and 20th century art in the form of graphic art and prints, drawings, watercolours, photographs and ex-libris. On permanent display are a number of local sacred works such as the ‘vault keystone with angel bust’ by Michael Pacher and the late Gothic ‘Sonnenburg Altar’ by Simon and Veit von Tesido/Taisten.
