Heinfels Castle
Heinfels Castle

The largest hilltop castle in East Tyrol and the Pustertal Valley

Elaborately restored and recently opened

The extensive restoration of this once magnificent castle, which marked the powerful reign of the Counts of Görz since its construction in 1210, took four years. It has been open to the public since 2020: while the towers, inner courtyards and ruins can be explored on your own, the halls, battlements and castle chapel can only be visited on a guided tour.
